Game shows pitchers tired when they should not be
I just noticed on the pitching staff screen that pitchers are marked as tired when they have had 3-4 days rest. However, when you go to playout a game and you get to the lineup screen, the pitcher is no longer tired. The lineup screen is accurate, the pitching staff screen seems to be incorrect.
I mark all of my pitchers MR...so that they can start and relief and pitch several days in a row (in relief only...I make sure it is 3-4 days between starts and at least 2-3 days since they relieved if they are going to start...if they have a high pitch count in relief, at least 3 days rest prior to a start). I may be the only person that plays this way and maybe I'm causing it. Has anyone else reported this? |

I've seen this in an online league i'm in. This may not be the same problem you're having at all but the best I can figure it is that it has to do with the DFA. If there is a player down to 0 days left on assignment the day is played out but not completed so all the pitchers are basically a day behind. The pitcher that threw that day still shows ready to go, but also shows they threw 121 pitches "today". The next pitcher due still shows tired until the DFA's are taken care of. Again, it doesn't sound like this is your problem, but it may have something to do with the way the DFA is setup to not complete a day even though all the games for the day have been played.
Just a guess.... Last edited by mpsquid; 12-11-2004 at 05:44 PM. |

I don't use financials.
I use the "strict" mode for pitchers...I think I'll try "best rested" mode and see if that makes a difference. Since I pick all starters for all games, I can workaround this. I just have never seen the game do this before. Maybe the game can't handle all pitchers being designated "MR". |

It looks like the problem was caused by the "strict" mode...changed it to the "best rested" mode and I think it will solve my problem.
