The ELSA is a league with a historical backdrop (The old Class A Eastern League and Southern Association)that uses fictional players in 1945. Seven seasons were simmed to give the league some history along with settling the financial model. The ELSA uses OOTP5. I am looking for owners who emotionally invest in their teams and players. I am trying to create a complete history of this league of 35 seasons or more. What is number one is having fun, whether you win or lose. Participation of owners who take over computer squads will make it more fun for everyone.
We have three teams that have opened up since the start of the year. The teams available are Binghamton, Albany, and Mobile. Albany is the defending league champion and has surged into third place (top two teams in each league make playoffs) with a 26-24 record. Binghamton has started 19-30. Mobile is the biggest challenge of all three teams depsite their 23-28 record due to their financial constraints. We play a 138 game schedule so it is still quite early in 1945. An in-depth review of each squads historical performance along with 1944 performance of top players can be found at http://www.buffalowarriors.com/elsa/simhistory.htm The League File and Reports are up at http://www.buffalowarriors.com/elsa/ We keep meticulous track of history using Catobase. I realize that everything in this league isn't for everyone, but if you're open to trying some new leagues, you might find that you like it more than you thought you would! -Bob |

We are simming tonight at 7:30PM. Birmingham has also come available. The Barons who play at historic Rickwood Field are currently fighting with Nashville for the top spot in the SA and are 32-20. |
