league standings are blank
I have set up a custom league and have been enjoying it profusely. I found that this message board is as good as any manual as just about every topic is touched on... forgive me if this has been addressed already, but it did not come up in my searches:
I finished a game and as it was trying to go to HTML Box Score the game crashed. A couple of boxes opened up and I had to close them out to continue, and I regret not paying much more attention than I did at the time. One was a Runtime Error message... I opened up the game and the League Standings screen is blank. The records are cleared out and read zeros. Teams are not listed. The league leaders on the same screen are missing the players and their stats as well. The Teams menu is blank, although a slot is there for all 16 teams in my league, but no text and no hotlinks. I can go to the League News screen as well as the Schedule screen and click on past performers and starters of past games and their player profile will come up as usual, but that is the only way I can find players on rosters. Free agents are still accessable as are players on the waiver wire. The big question is, where did my Teams & players go? I checked "2004 Career.lg" and everything is working great there. I have backed up the league (beginning of the season), but as a brand new OOTPer that chooses to go the route of the PBP option, it is a bit frustrating to think I'll have to start over and lose my first 40+ games. The sound has been disabled since I started playing, and I toggled the 3d graphics and that did not help either. Help! & Thanks! OPS = Winows XP (Home Edition/Service Pack 2) Hard drive = 70.9 GB Free Space = 59.6 GB 512 RAM 3.00 GHz Total physical memory = 512 mb Available physical memory = 257.35 MB |

Sounds like the crash corrupted the league, did you have a backup?

yes, I do have a back-up, but I was hoping to salvage my season if possible...
I'm guessing there is no hope? How frequently would you suggest that I back-up my seasons; and to what source should I back them up to? Thanks again! |

Every couple of days depending on how much you sim, I'd just zip the whole league folder and store it in a safe place.

Thanks for your help, Steve.
I'll be sure to back-up more frequently so that if my problem occurs again I won't be out of luck! Thanks again
