Smile Custom Draft Class

Hey Guys,

I was curious about how you go about making a custom draft class for an online league. We would like to make one based on players that get drafted in real life as we are simming as well as prospects or players in real baseball that may not be in our league.

We would like to make a class for each draft, but would not like any computer generated guys. How do we go about doing that?

You have to wait until the draft then edit the players.

Well, you could use CSV Export / Import (Player General Info for names, birthdates, height, weight, speed, etc.; Player Ratings for the rest) instead of editing in-game... If you did, you could make the data up beforehand in the proper formats, and then just cut and paste it into the exported CSVs at draft time.

On the topic, the Commish of one of my leagues wanted me to edit the draft pool. He gave me the password, so I went in there and edited the rookies. Then I sent him the draft.dat file, which he inserted into his game. Why won't that work? Is there a way to do it so that I don't have to send him the entire game file to replace his? In the meantime, he has already simmed 10 FA days, so I can't send him my game file now.

I think the draft.dat only holds the draft order... 300 bytes seems a bit small to hold all the draft-eligible players. You might be able to just send your players.dat, but it'd probably be safer to send the whole league... at least all the files in the root.
