A tragic loss to us all ...

Hey Guys,

Ok ... here goes. I have tried EVERYTHING without any success. The latest was an uninstall and complete registry clean then a new download and installation.

The Custom League would not sim at all and locked me out of the game - I had to CTRL+ALT+DEL and "End Task" as it was "Not Responding".

What confuses me most given the solutions proposed and feeling that it may be graphic or sound related - the game works perfectly fine using the 2004 Career League that OOTP6 Baseball creates upon installation!

It MUST be something to do with the settings I need to carry over my FPS Baseball 98 League to OOTP. I uploaded them to a web site for those of you so inclined to view them and recreate the scenario.

Just a hunch (if you have not done this already).
1) Back-up your league folder to a temp folder (cut and paste).
2) Start the game and open your created league (if it's not already the default league)
3) Go to League > League Setup and once there, press "Run computer Manager on all teams"
4) Try to sim

If that does not work:
1) Copy your backup over the existing file (OOTP folder)
2) Repeat 2 and 3 above
3) Choose edit schedule, then generate schedule
4) Try to sim

I'm assuming that you have not been able to sim any games yet. If you have, generating a new sched. will not work.

I did some quick searching on single league setups, and found one problem -- but that only involved the unusual size of the player.dat file. I know there's been setups with only one league, but does the fact that the three divisions aren't equally divided within the league affect anything besides the scheduling difficulties?

Markus would naturally have used computer manager when testing my .dat files to troubleshoot, thus explaining why he was able to sim without any problems.
