I opened my league today, and a bunch of players names were erased and replaced with symbols, there stats, ratings....all of it was erased....I am so irate, why did this happen and what can I do to get it back? This is the second time this has happened!!!!!
PS. By symbols, I mean that there was a BOX, yes thats right, a square box in place of the players name. Cant believe this happened again.

Do you have a recent backup of the league before this occured?
If not, then I do not know of a solution offhand

What version do you have? If try to play a Version 5 game with Version 6 it won't work or vice versa. What you are decribing sounds like you have a game that is set up for one version but you are using another.

No you can't and I'm afraid to say......The file has gone corrupt and unless you manually backed it up, it's gone for good. I had this happen to me once, I had hand edited over 500 players for which I was creating a modern roster set, one day I opened it up and the same thing you mentioned had happened to me. Was I hot, yes I was and I learned from then on out to back my files up.

Ok, so now realizing there is nothing I can do about it, Do I backup my league after everygame played? And if so, how do I do it, and where do I save it. What is the easiest way to do this for future references? Thanks alot for your help in advance.

I don't think anything can be done, but if it has happened more than once or twice or recently as well you maybe having other PC issues. Make sure you run scandisk and defrag regularly, keep spyware, etc off your system and BACKUP your league often.

Crowley......In the main standings page of OOTP6.....go to the drop down menu and there you will see "backup league".....left click on that and you will see different drives for your computer......create a folder for your league and name it anything you want, but place it on the C: drive.....and backup to your new folder......and there you have it.........it's backed up.

The best (and easiest) way to backup your league is to go to your OOTP6 folder (probably C:\Program Files\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP6), find your league's .lg folder, and make a copy of it somewhere else. Whether "somewhere else" is right there in your OOTP6 folder (so you'll have "Copy of Your League.lg"), elsewhere on your hard drive, or on a CD-R or ZIP disk is up to you.
