Display Problems - Please Advise.

I downloaded and purchased the license (LAST 4 digits P7FP) for OOTP6 on October 16 (the weekend of the sale) - and continued to play without problems ... however, this morning after downloading the new Lahman database ... I can no longer enter the game ... the problem is when I click on the icon ... the game doesn't appear ... I have tried adjusting properties and settings ... but no luck ... I have also uninstalled and reinstalled but still no luck ... the computer I use uses XP and has been updated with Service Pak 2 ... any help would be much appreciated ... since I am sort of computer "ignorant" ... and most importantly dieing to play OOTP6 - Michael

This would be my first guess:
In XP: Control Panel>Admin Tools>Services. Make sure LicCtrl is enabled.
