Josh Beckett refused to resign due to playing time after a 40 start 260 IP season. I was able to retain him using a RFA system.
Rodrigo Lopez also wouldn't resign and it was reported although it was OOTP5. I was able to resign him in Free Agency. The league also ended up dying. I realize these are from "Roster Sets" but as ModernRelic said it's a legit issue. I also don't like it when things are passed off as "Roster Set" problems because a) Iit seems to be BS here and b) there isn't much of a market for only game generated rosters. |

Well, "if" it's only happening with 3rd party rosters, then the assumption would be that something in the process of building a roster outside of the game is the cause. If so, and because we have no control over how rosters are built, we can't be responsible for problems that result from using them. Thus our "no support for 3rd party addons" statement. Support, in this case, would have to come from the author of the rosters.
That said, however, Modern Relic stated above it happened to him with fictional players. If true, we should look into this further... but problem is it would take a while to set up the league(s) and track the extention results as I did above. I'll try again as I get time. |

This is happening all the time in my solo fictional league.
I posted an observation of the problem in this thread

I am the Commish of PBL (www.pbleague.com). The same "unhappy with playing time" happened to Matt Riley of Kansas City. He had 33 starts and 223 innings pitched, he never missed a start. I attempted to resign him in October. We can certainly bypass this potential bug by editting his current contract status but this is something that shouldn't happen and be corrected. Both myself and Kansas City have the 6.10 upgrade installed.

I'm in an online league that converted using 6.10 and has updated to 6.11... we're in May and #2 starters and everyday hitters are complaining about playing time, which never happened in OOTP 5.
Simming ahead to October, a MR with 70 IP still wouldn't talk, until he was switched to a CL, or even as an SP, he would then talk. This league has been 6.10 straight from 5, and this problem seems to be at least a little bit around. Can anyone confirm whether this problem is still kicking around in other leagues, and if so, how do you get around it? These guys shouldn't use the playing time excuse when they play at least an average amount for their position. |

Yep I still notice it once in awhile.
Starting Pitcher Elijah Mohammed of the USBA, is refusing to talk to me because of lack of playing time. He is currently my number two starter in a five man rotation. He has started 17 out of team's 85 games (Exactly 1 out of 5). He has pitched 115 innings and he has one more start left before the all-star break. In is first four seasons he has started at least 33 games and has pitched at least 228 innings. He will be close to that again this season. And he is complaining about lack of playing time...LOL. So yeah it is still a problem. This is a fictional league...no roster set used. I also run into it occasionally in my solo league as well. |
