Jim McDonnell JLW
McDonnell's record 26-4-0 (12)
His 4 losses came in his last 6 fights with one of them being after an eight year lay-off. He had two Title fights, one against Azumah Nelson (rated 12) lost by KO 12 and against Brian Mitchell (rated 9) lost by UD 12. All test fights I used retired & prime settings for both fighters except for Nelson, Mitchell & Barry McGuigan fights. In these 3 fights I used post-prime settings for McDonnell and Prime for Nelson & Mitchell and End for McGuigan. |

Thanks Ice,
I'm looking forward to them. I'm going through my old magazines and I'm coming up with more and more fighters who are missing. |

Here is my dumb question of the day. How do I import the .tbdx files that are being posted on this thread into my data base? I am a bit new to this (although I have enjoyed the boad game since 1982).
Thanks to all who posted here, especialy the fellow that posted ratings for Teofilo Stevenson. That brought back a lot of memories! Cheers, Christopher |

First save the attached files to a map. Then open up the "fighters"screen in the Game. Push on the "Import File" button (on the right of your screen".
Search for the right map, click on the saved "fighter" and open the file. The Game will ask a few questions, and the fighter is in the Game. I don't know if you know already, but in Cornerwork.com are a lot more fighter and other downloads available. |

Thanks, I have overdone it a bit now. I have over 7,000 boxers downloaded - time for a little clean-up and organization!

Harold Brazier 105-18-1 (KO's 64)
Harold is still active as far as I know at age 49.
Here is my version of him as a JWW retired. |

Off-weight record padders
Cruiserweight Stiffs - CAUTION: I used the Tomato Cans Template from Cornerwork but mostly employed the names of real boxers with career fight totals of five or less. If you have any intention of really rating these types of stiffs I would suggest that you not use this fighter pack. If anyone has any interest in these, I will post the rest. I have 160 - 180 stiffs for each off-weight class down to minimumweight.
Cheers |

Some are older, but I quite frankly gave very little thought to which names I grabbed. They were folks that I was certain that I would never care to rate (all 5 or less career bouts). I just pulled name, nationality and division and called it a day. They are used in my universe just to get 5 to 15 bouts under a fighter's belt before moving on to competition with a pulse.

If I ever make it far enough I will definitely use them. You should do the same with other weight classes. I make 15-20 fighters each year with my universe and I do the same as you. I don't put much thought into what type of fighter they were, I just decide what rating I want them to have and then make them accordingly.

I only did the off-weight classes because there are 1 or 2 packs of 160 fighters each from the main weight classes kindly available for download over at Cornerwork.com - check out the "Tomato Can" files
Why re-invent the wheel is always my motto. I pull 10 to 15 new "stiffs" into each division per year.I will throw up the SMW JMW JWW JLW JFW JBW JFLY and STRW packs of stiffs tonight and over the weekend unless someone says "Good Lord, keep this rubbish to yourself!" I find it usefull to have plenty of canned stiffs on the self to bring in when needed. Cheers Last edited by CONN CHRIS; 11-25-2004 at 02:28 PM. |
