A couple comments just on who you have the Cardinals signing.
1. I agree that they will most likely re-sign Renteria, especially if the Cubs are their top competition. If they lose him to anyone it would be Boston, and then they would go hard after Cabrera. 2. Matt Morris will almost definately not be back, my prediction is the Yankees, Rangers, or Orioles. Randy Johnson has a more likely chance to be a Cardinal next season than Morris. 3. Doubtful that the Cards would sign both Womack and Polonco considering only one of them can play 2nd at time. Possible exception is if they can get one to come in for a backup roll (at backup money). Very interesting read overall. |

13. Troy Glaus
ESPN: Astros. Joe: Brewers Comment: Glaus to the Astros? Last I checked they had that position covered. Last I checked Glaus was better, injured, than the Astros two third basemen. ![]() 16. Troy Percival ESPN: Cubs Joe: Cubs Comment: As much as I hate this one, all signs point to true. Cubs will overpay and get a DL spot taken care of. At least it will be a legitimate closer occupying that DL spot. 31. Jon Lieber ESPN: Yankees Joe: Cubs Comment: Cubs get their # 5 starter right here for dirt cheap. He's a fan favorite and will return to the place where he shined brightly Sounds good to me 41. Jose Valentin ESPN: Mariners Joe: White Sox Comment: How is this guy top 50? Whitesox are done with him. 47. Tony Womack ESPN: Cubs Joe: Cardinals Comment: We're not getting Womack. Get it straight, we're getting Walker. Walker! Walker! Walker! He is a gamer, Chicago needs gamers.
