Cant take players off my 40-man roster

Ive tried putting them on waivers, and designating them for assignment. I dont want to outright release them, just boot them off the 40-man. Im dumb, and I know its something I missed. Any help??

Make sure you have the 40-man roster rules turned on for one thing. What kind of message are you getting when you unsuccessfully take a player off the 40-man? Keep in mind that the player will need to clear waivers. After he has cleared, you need to drag him from the 40-man roster spot to the box in the lower RH corner to remove him NOT from the waiver box.

That's odd, because AFAIK, putting a player in DFA should remove them from the 40-man automagically... so even if you weren't doing it the "correct" way that sporr described (dragging from the 40-man box to the white 'remove me' box), you should still be able to remove them via DFA.
