My Portfolio Site...
Not sure if I should be posting this here, so I apologize if I'm not supposed to.
Some of you may have seen my old portfolio site (www.dbacks.tk - no longer up), but it wasn't very good, and plus, most of my best work has been made after that site was designed this summer. So I've spent the last few weeks totally recreating my website, and adding some of my most recent graphics. I'm not the best web designer in the world, so there's a good chance there's an error somewhere in the code. However, I've spent a few days testing, and hopefully everything should work right. Please be sure to drop me a line if you have any suggestions or complaints regarding the site or my work in general. ![]() Best viewed with Internet Explorer at 1024 x 768 resolution, but should work fine with most other browsers and resolutions. >> www.cgdesign.us << -Chris Last edited by dbacks; 11-05-2004 at 09:27 PM. |

That is a very good website and it worked fine for me.
You already know I'm one of your biggest fans, but a very picky old codger, so I'm not a total fanboy, but pretty close. Having said that: You are truly gifted in graphic creation and design and should be extremely proud of your work. Good luck in this new endeavor. This is a great place for you to post this information. I don't think anyone will have a problem with it. Thanks for sharing it with us. One suggestion: Make the links on the left of the home page a little more bold, so they stand out a little more...maybe use a font that is wider...don't like the "t's". Of course, as always, just ignore these very picky suggestions if you like. ![]() I sent you and e-mail...I may be one of your first paying customers. Since it is hard to get logos done here on the forum recently...lots and lots of requests and only a few dedicated designers...I may let you do some logos for me and also design and setup a website for my 3 leagues...2 fictionals and an Alltime Allstar League. It has always been a dream of my to have a website like Portlander's Laseron Baseball Association and DreamTeams' Metro League. Last edited by Eugene Church; 11-07-2004 at 03:14 PM. |

Sounds great, EC. I've got a couple other projects I'm working on for some people I know, but I'll see what I can do.
Thanks for the suggestions on the site, too! |

Very nice site. I especially liked your Viking logo -- I think I'll be using that one

The simpleness was intentional. The more complex a website is, the harder it is (on average) for a visitor to find his/her way around, and I want people to be able to find their way around my website in a reasonable amount of time. Complex websites can work, but the simpler it is, the more professional it usally looks. |
