Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Hi, I hope this is in the correct forum since it is a question about OOTP 5.14b (I'm finishing up a season there before converting over to 6.soandso)...
I have a 25 year old first baseman (who was an all-star in the year I am in) that I got in a trade after the all-star game...
he was fatigued when I got him
i rested him
he was better
i played him
and, after just that one game he is tired again..
i remember seeing stuff written about this in the past, but after looking around haven't been able to find that info...
also, this is the only player on my roster for which this has happened in about 2 complete 132 game seasons...(I haven't watched the other teams' fatigue to see if that has been happening for them as well)...
I play through each game
I am in manager mode
I like positional fatigue very much and would like to not have to disable it...
is there a reason why he is fatigued so often?
is it that he has played too much for the season and is just simply worn out?
does he have chronic fatigue syndrome?
or is it a bug of some sort?
thank you for your replies

Even more strange

I just used the editor utility to turn off manager mode to go into the game and edit the tired player's status rating...
and..
it didn't work
that is to say that after I activated edit mode on the player and then clicked on the status button, the status of 'Tired' did not change...
I was able to change other parts of that player....and...
when I clicked on the 'status' button it transformed the little window that the status is shown in to have an entry for %effectiveness, days on DL, recovery time...
it seems that I can change his effective status to injured..or..possibly even 'ok' but that I can't get the actual listed status to change from being listed as tired...
did I say that in a complete enough way for it to make sense?

Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed

Well, it seems that the player in question has resumed his normal sleep schedule (maybe he's going out to less parties and clubs after the games at night)...
or, perhaps the other team he used to play for wouldn't let him rest...
at any rate, things are fine now

That can happen if you keep trying to drink Markus under the table...

Oh wait, that's ITP, not OOTP
