2004 Rosters for OOTP6 dynasty
Hey, I'm going to start a dynasty with the Houston Astros and I'm trying to find a roster set with Beltran on the Astros, but the only one I can think of is Halofan's but his ratings are too high. Do you guys think his ratings are too high? If so should I change them or what? I could always change them to equal the ones in CBL 2.1's. What do you think I should do???

Do whatever you want, it is your game. Adjust them however you see fit. To save time you could adjust your League Totals setting which would lower or increase your offensive output which is almost like globally editing all of your players at once. So if you increase your League Totals then even if a guy has a home run rating of 100, he PROBABLY won't hit alot of home runs if your league totals are high enough. Just experiment a little bit until you like what you see.
Good luck! Last edited by Cowboys3356; 10-29-2004 at 10:20 PM. |

I suppose I didn't go back and check everyone (I'm not that much of a stickler for realism), but I found most ratings to be fairly appropriate. .. The only changes I actually made were to improve Juan Castro's defensive range (he's a wiz defensively...just can't hit) and allow Griffey Jr. to play the other two outfield positions. That worked pretty well for me. All the league leaders seemed appropriate. Some folks had a pretty bad season the first year I played (Jason Varitek and Jorge Posada in particular), but that should happen to the occasional player.
I actually just traded for Beltran (Griffey just wasn't cutting the mustard in 2006 and I had an extra starting pitcher). He hasn't been an overly dominant player, but is a very good player. His ratings seem appropriate for me. I was a little concerned about his speed ratings, but given that he was something like 30/30 in the NL from July on, they're probably dead on too. And since he's a middle of the lineup hitter, he doesn't seem to stack up the stole base numbers like, say, Juan Pierre or Luis Castillo down in Florida. -Justin Last edited by Brandiles; 10-30-2004 at 02:27 PM. |
