Gee guys.... I believe the status is the same as it's been for a while since we've gotten no updates. Rolen and GForce said last that Pierre was trying to get the spreadsheet data into a format that could be read by the game. Since we haven't heard anything new - I would assume that Pierre is still working on that. No magic here - when he's done it will be ready....

I'm hoping to have an update (either from myself or Rolen) by the end of the weekend.

Pierre established what he needed from us to get this into the game. Rolen has adapted the bulk of the spreadsheets into that format but still needs to take care of duplicate guys and other things to get things in order. He told me yesterday he was hoping to get a lot done in the next couple of days.

My understanding is that Pierre figured out what needs to be done once we get things lined up as he needs them and that seems like it is getting near the end.

ok guys...

Rolen has identified duplicate players and such from our lists and gotten it pretty much in order from his end. He will be e-mailing Pierre today I think and, if possible, he'll send Pierre the sheets completely today or tomorrow and then it's up to Pierre. Last time I spoke to Pierre he felt like he could do this quickly once we aligned our data to his specifications. That part seems done now.

I'll let you know anything I hear.

This might be illegal to do because of licensing, but if these rosters are as good as I think they will be, can we send something to you guys as a token of appreciation? Even a dollar or something from each of us?

The thought is appreciated. When I was going to do TotalMinors for High Heat I was going to set up an account through PayPal where people could donate money if they felt like doing so. I caught grief from a few guys over there, which is fine, and I won't go into the whole thing here. Let's wait until the set is completed and out, and then we can worry about that stuff. Again, the idea is much appreciated.

Ok, here is an update from my end. I have been working with the files and have put together a list of 2792 players to this point that we have rated in the spreadsheet. I will be sending this to Pierre soon. The spreadsheet is 5.85 meg in size and I am not sure if the email address I have for Pierre will accept it. Some of the teams already have 100 or more players and others are in the 80's. Adding the remaining players once we get the bulk of the players in the game will not be that difficult. Most of the players that will need to be added are A ballers anyway. Some are hot prospects and some are AA or AAA guys that are emerging this year. I will have more to update after I speak with Pierre and Gregg again.

These rosters will be up to date as of the start of the season, right? Any plans on jumping in and adding this years draft selections (those that signed) or were you planning on doing this over the winter?

Well I want the Opening Day rosters done then we will begin work on the next phase which would be making them more up to date with the way the rosters are in real life now. i.e. Rolen on the Cardinals. Plus that addition of draft picks would be part of the next phase.
