My friend has the password. He hasn't been online in weeks. I want to get the league started, as Radgeta said, so that people don't lose interest. My intentions are good, and I am willing to prove that.

I'm just asking for your help. Now that I know that it's possible and people have done it, I think I deserve the respect as a customer.

Why would you have a "friend" who is rarely online,

1. involved in your leage in the first place?
2. have him set up a password?

Also, why not just restore your backup from before your "friend" who is never online decided to put a password on a league that he is never online to care about?

I didn't want to tell the whole story, but I guess I will.

I went to BaseballHeaven, a dying sim league witha commish that was highly respected. He couldn't afford to run the site (baseballheaven) anymore, so I told him that we could run the league on my site (NYMfans). I respected him, so I let him set up the rosters and password. My other friend sent him his custom rosters, but stupidly forgot to back up the original. He then got back a file from the BaseballHeaven guy that was password protected. BaseballHeaven hasn't been online in a long time. I need to get this league jumpstarted. Help, please!

Despite your good reputation, I don't think very many people are going to e-mail a stranger with information that would allow you to hack onto any online league and retrieve a password.

BTW, if you need any more evidence, I can get people who are actually in my league to vouch for me.

I'm actually in the same league as Noah. The problem is, the person that is in charge of "running" the league (running the sims, updating the rosters, making the transactions, etc.) is never online. We were supposed to have an up-to-date league file this past weekend and the guy hasn't contacted any of us. Another one of our members made a unique roster set (by combining HaloFan's set with the CBL set). Only problem is, the guy running the league set a password on the existing league file and none of us have been able to contact him to get the show on the road. A number of us have OOTP, so we wanted to get someone who actually has adequate time to run the sims. It'd be much easier if we could hack it to find out the password and then go from there.

So you are saying that someone just created a new roster set for you to use and you need to hack in to use it?

If you are starting with a new roster set, and are beginning play of a new league, why not just start over again, without including the guy who is "running" things.

If you are talking about an existing league, I don't see why you would mess around with creating a new roster set.

Thanks for stopping over and making your very first post just to help out. I also notice that, just like your "friend", you have made no mention of the name of this league nor included a link to help backup any of your claims.
