He's about to, doesn't good ole Mr. Clutch lead off the bottom of the 8th? I feel a double grand slammy comming off his bat or atleast McCarver gushing over him enough to make everyone else blush. I think he does have a man crush on him.

Isn't a walk just as good, though?

This might be the biggest choke in baseball, but the other 26 Yankee teams that won a world series sort of outweighs this little...speed bump or whatever.

McCarver just needs to go... I don't know a single baseball fan that likes having him announce... Him and Joe Morgan.... they should go over to England and announce cricket matches or something...

(No offense to the British in the room...)

Not according to Mccarver when talking about #2 hitter Bellhorn and walk is equal to a strikeout since ya fell to put the ball in play.

LOL... I'd like to know when this came about. Sometimes sports history seems to be held in higher regard than US/World history...

I'm just amazed that McCarver continues to find employment with MLB since he goes to whatever network is broadcasting the games. He must have some compromising photos of Selig or something.

well it's my opinion. History means nothing, this yankee team has no connection to the yankees from the 30's. all those championships mean nothing.

He also implied that with any other 3rd baseman Jeter would have had a clutch hit.

I guess he's not aware of the "other" meaning of that term.

(He's probably not aware of a lot things, actually)

McCarver is a dumb son of a bitch.

When I hear him call the Cards games, he is AMAZINGLY anti-St. Louis.

Joe Buck will bitch slap him though.

SLAMMA-LAMA! DING-DONG!!!!
