Writing Overlap and Hard to Read

This is probably a bonehead question, and I have searched this forum and even tried numerous things in the game to no avail. All of the words from the drop down screens are in black lettering, making it difficult to read. Also, all of my e-mails overlap, so I can only read one at a time which is frustrating, or when trading players I can only look at one position at a time otherwise if I switch positions the wording overlaps. How do I fix this?

Run the "Game Configuration" utility in your OOTP6 folder, and toggle your 3D mode.

I thought I had tried this already, but when I did it this time it worked! Thanks for the help.

One thing that perplexes me a bit is that the menus in the game are transparent and make it difficult to read (with any skin type in thebackground).

I am not sure if this topic covers this particular issur or not.

Is this common and is there something that can be done to fix this?
