Yankees really arrogant

Man, just watch AROD trying to say he didnt knock the ball out of Arroyo's hand on purpose. Jerks.

ALSO that homerun they tried to argue that bounced off that guys jacket.. Kudos to the Umps for sticking with the (as replay shows) truth.

Even though this is an obvious attempt to get a reaction, do you honestly believe a player will admit to doing something that will get him out?

I don't think Torre was arguing that homerun call. He was mostly listening to the umpires without speaking much.

What makes it worse is if he had just taken the out, Jeter would have been at 2nd. A single by Sheffield makes it a 1 run game. Him swatting the ball out might have cost the Yankees a run(I know Sheff popped out, but you never know what he would have done with a guy on 2nd instead of 1st).

Or something that makes him look like a total a$$??

Arod's quotes after the game:

``It was a big momentum changer,'' Rodriguez said. ``I don't want those umpires to meet anymore because every time they meet, it goes against the Yankees.''

Yup. Stupid though it may have been, if the umps miss the call, ARod could well be the hero today. Great job by the umps to make sure they got both calls right.

kidna like every time he talks as of late, he sounds more and more like an overpaid ass.

Dimaggio, Mantle, Ruth, Gehrig, and many others that brought pride and prestige to the Yankees must be rolling in their grave.

I agree and disagree with the arguments on this thread.

What A-Rod did was pathetic and bush league, that is true, but you can't fault him for arguing it. I, personally, have never witnessed a player speak up if a bad call benefited him, though that would be cool.

OK, help me out here.

I was (am) at work, and missed the play completely. No radio, either.

What exactly happened? I saw on-line that he was called out for interference...is this what this thread is about?

Yeah, with Jeter on first, A-Rod grounded one to the pitcher. Arroyo tried to tag Rodriguez himself and A-Rod just karate chopped the ball out of his glove. They ruled him safe but the umpires convened and changed the call to interference.

So the chopping part was ******ed and absolutely wrong, but the arguing part was expected and normal?

They should change from calling him A-Rod to A-Sackofcrap.

That was disgusting. Shows the mans true character.
