Is there an easy way to import an OOTP4 league into OOTP6?

I figured I'd go the route of installing the OOTP5 demo, importing, and then importing that into OOTP6, but we had the OOTP5 demo installed on both of our computers in the past, so the timers are up.

basically, installing SP2 broke OOTP4, and since it's very old, I'm assuming there will be no fix.

Any thoughts?

If you can e-mail your OOTP4 files to me@orioleshangover.com I'll upgrade them for you. It will take me a few days, however, for me to get to the right computer.

Exposed to what? Not everyone can afford every single version. I don't see anything worng with what he's doing. Just had to add my .02.

This is kind of off base. He bought version 6 and just needs some help moving a league into it. It's not like he couldn't use the demo if he hadn't already used all the days with it.

Well, I didn't expect hostility for making this post. lol

If the import feature was not active in the demo version, I wouldn't even had posted this question.

A strategy I and many others use with yearly released sports games, it buy one, skip one, buy one, skip one, repeat. The reasoning behind that, though maybe not quite as strong with this game, is that one years game might have that many new features that last years game, but the versions two releases apart is worth the upgrade.

In any event, I'll see about getting that league file over to you, and thanks.

To be honest, I went right from OOTP4 to OOTP6.10

I have many that I would love to have updated as opposed to re-creating them all.

If that offer stands (to assist converting, please let me know).

If people want to me send me leagues, I'll be happy to convert them. I imagine you only need to send the .dat files and you can just cut and paste the league news box and other stuff in once converted. I don't have OOTP4 which I think I work around but be forwarned.

Thanks. 36 and feel like 46 today (after watching a total of 12 hours of baseball in the last 2 days)

BTW. Were there any files that you were unable to convert? The reason why I ask is that I also had an all time greats roster and a 1981 roster as well
