Problems with Update !

I read all the threats before and couldn't find anybody who had the same problems !!!
My problem is refering to installing the update 4.1 version. After I unziped it with Winzip into my Ootp4 folder the game wouldn't start anymore. I'm in my fifth season and never had problems before, so it must have something to do with the update.

It has to be the fact that the update isn't installed properly, check the date of the "ootp4.exe", it needs to be from July 02 otherwise it is an old file.

The date of the .exe file is the 23. July.

Are you sure that the link that you are clicking on is a valid one?

Yeah, it was the on eMarkus gave in his announcment.
Anyway I don't understand it, I changed nothing else than replacing the old .exe file with the one from the update.
Did anybody else have similiar problems ?

No, I think you misunderstood me, I mean on your computer the shortcut or way that you try to start OOTP4 are you sure that the startup link is leading you to the correct exe file? Try making a new shortcut and see if that works.

perhaps you need to (re-)associate the program file has a windows 98 program.
