Do you allow the game to do waivers

Hey all,

I run two leagues now using the latest OOTP6 patch. With the Designated for assignmet feature added, I would like to be able to let the game handle all the waivers meaning my GM's can waive or claim players through the game rather than the meesageboard which is the way we currently do it. Does anyone have any good, bad, or ugly stories about doing waivers through the game. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I belive now with the patch I am going to let the game handle the waivers in both of my leagues

How are you setting this up? If my league has a ten-day sim, should we set a ten or eleven day DFA period?

We are having this dilema as well. The problem as I see it is...let's say you sim 7 days and set the waiver to 8 days. If somebody exports a waiver move and then you sim 7 days, that player only has 1 day left. If somebody claims him in their next export and you sim again, now the original GM doesn't have a chance to pull him off since there is only 1 day left.

I don't believe that the waivers system is favorable to online leagues and thus am a believer that it should not be used.

we use it in game, but we also have a thread to post in when you PLACE a claim. if the original owner wants to revoke, he says so in the thread and the commish removes the player from the wire before simming that day.
