Logo Request: Washington Nationals

Here's my first attempt; it didn't turn out as good as I hoped. In fact, I'd almost go so far as to say it's somewhat ugly. I just couldn't capture the design I saw in my mind's eye.

It also loses something when reduced to the 150x150 OOTP size. Oh well, hopefully the second idea I have will translate better.

I like it, however I think the blue might look better to be as dark as the one Scotto used, but that's probably just my personal preference. Other than that, the logo is great!

I decided to try and revise the first attempt before moving on to the second concept I had. I darkened the blue a bit as per Cuss' suggestion, and put a fountain fill in to try and make the central "W" stand out more and look somewhat metallic.

Another slight variation, this time with the central "W" getting a red colour to make it more distinct.

Okay, concept two for the Washington Nationals logo. I'm definitely more pleased with how this turned out. I even stumbled upon a secondary version which I think works quite nicely.

Anyway, here is the primary version:

The secondary version. I tried various combinations of shapes and colours behind it, but it always looked better with the background just being white.

Very nice work on all of them, LGO.

I like the red "W"...I always like a little contrast in a logo...it makes it stand out a little better.
