Restoring a League from Backup

If I restore a league from the backup function as part of the game, is there anything lost from the original league? Or, does the restore bring everything back exactly as it was before?

If I were U I won't use the game function and instead make a copy of the whole league folder from time to time.

What he said, and make sure you zip the backup to make the size as small as possible (zipping these types of folders helps IMMENSELY)

You'd lose all of the Player History data for all players in your league. But if you backed up the folder with all the history, then I'd guess you can get them back.

Like the people above, its better to just zip-up the whole league folder after the season.

When you say, "you lose all of the player history" what do you mean? I've restored league files before and the player history seems to still be there.

Maybe it only happens to me? but whenever I used the backup/restore functions, I'd lose the player history. By Player History, I mean the little gray box with the listings of the players accomplishments, how'd he end up in a team, when he was drafted...etc..

I used the restore function and everything seems to be there, just as it was before, including player history such as...."was drafted in 5th round in 2003; selected to All Star Game in 2004; won World Championship in 2004 with New York...." and so on....

I was wondering if maybe I had lost something after restoring back, but it appears all the same to me. My player history appears fine. Is there anything else I should look at?

Well, I just tried a Backup / Restore and I couldn't find anything missing either... *shrug* Beats me...

I'm thinking that maybe the problem happens only when you restore into a "blank" league, but rather than test that theory, I'm gonna install the update and get my solo league rolling again.
