Agreed, being a Cardinal fan, I just don't understand how this happens. NLDS and NLCS tickets were sold out here in like 4 or 5 hours after going on sale. |

Braves radio says it's a sellout. They were even claiming that all the standing room tickets were sold as well.

One of the Fox commentators said and I quote "Not a sellout crowd, but the fans here in Atlanta are still makin' some noise". |

Ehh
The wheels fell off for the Braves in this one. It's probably a good thing this happened. Whoever moves on is going to be destroyed by St. Louis in 4 or 5 and that will be painful to watch. |

The announced crowd is 54,068 (2nd largest crowd ever at Turner Field). Although, it isn't much of a consolation.

Hopefully Houston can put up some kind of fight versus St.L.... the Astros didn't play like I thought they would. Still... they made it to the next round

I'm disappointed. No way this should've happen. Bottom of the fourth, 2 on, 2 out. AND THEY LET WRIGHT HIT FOR HIMSELF. I think you have to use a pinch hitter here, even though its only 3-0. Wright wasn't going to do any better (and in hindsight, the bullpen didn't help all too much) and you needed the runs. Sure, Furcal and Estrada would later homer making it 3-2, but what if it was already 3-2 and then they homer? Totally different ball game. There is no tomorrow and I think Cox dropped the ball here.

Man, I'm excited. A couple months back I was ready to start over with the team, but they came through in a big way. Finally got the playoff monkey off our back and we're ready to face the Cards, who we swept last time we faced them.

The first 2 Cards/Stros series were early in the season and the last 2 were in the last few weeks, the Astros never saw the Cardinals when they were playing anything other than .500 baseball, no series in June, July, or August. The Astros are tough but I wouldn't put too much stock in the regular season series. should be a good one though! |
