Help: Minor League Players and Late Season...

Let me paint the scenario and maybe some of the experts can help answer this.....There's about nine games left in my season (I play each game), and I've almost depleted my Triple A team of players due to injuries, trades, and just plain horrible performances by veterans (some with new contracts)...I traded away my best pitcher (he was old, his salary high, and doubtful he would have many better season...and I've got young talent)...Anyway, I am 1.5 games back for the division lead....my relievers choke on a regular basis....

So, my question is....should I fill in my triple A team with players through the AI?? That doesn't seem realistic to me...... perhaps I need to wait until the end of the season, or perhaps following my league draft, off-season trading, and free-agency. Clearly, some of the players I've brought up, I'm going to release at season's end (they suck).... Any suggestions regarding keeping realism and still maintaining a team for the year. I know I have ghost players, but sagain hould I fill in or is that too unrealistic?? Thanks...

I def. would not fill the minors with the AI. Use what you got this year. Then, in the off-season, you'll fill them up a bit more via the draft, and promotions. The rest, I would fill via free agency. Usually theres a few guys, young and unproven enough not to attract the big contracts, but still have some potential. I would sign those guys and add them to your system. The way I see it, is that you depleted your minor league system. Happens in MLB, and now it happened to you. Eventually, if you draft smart, and trade smart, I think you'll be able to build it up. I certainly wouldn't fill the minors though. Not unless you decided to throw realism out the window.

don't fill it wouldn't be fair to give yourself a bunch of bonus prospects. Besides as a human you already have enough of an advantage over the AI, no need to make it worse.
