Astros/Braves thread

Figure I might as well start this. Unfortunately, I won't be watching the game live since the Yankees like to hog primetime. So I've got the Tivo set up and I'll watch it when I get home. Now, I've just gotta avoid this forum and a bunch of sports sites. Go Braves!

I'm forced to "watch" it through ESPN Gamecast until I get off work in an hour. Hopefully it stays a close game so it will be worth watching the last hour or so.

This is horrible. Down 7-2 and THEY WALK ROGER CLEMENS IN THE 6TH! It's only funny because it's true.

And all the wasted baserunners. Clemens walks 6 and all they get is some unearned run in the first? Unreal.

Looks like the Astros and Braves switched roles, with the Braves now choking when there are runners on base.

I'm loving this.

By the way, how can the ump not realize the bean by cruz was intentional?

Because it wasn't? Why would he put a guy on when the Braves think they can get to the Astros bullpen and/or hit against a tiring Clemens? Height of idiocy. Cruz has almost no control and is lucky if he gets it on the same side of the plate he is aiming for.

Now that was a game I've been waiting for since 1986. I won't say much more too soon, though - gotta see how the rest of the series goes before getting too pleased.

I disagree, I think today went perfectly. And yes, we will get 'em tomorrow, 'em being the Braves.

Nah. What do you expect with Jaret Wright. He definitely should've been pulled after 4 innings. No reason to send him out for the 5th, when things got out of hand. It was only 4-1 and he was losing it. Should've brought in the rested bullpen and then let the offense take over.

Tomorrow is another day. Things should go much smoother tomorrow. They just needed that out of their system.

Don't know how smooth you're expecting it to be against Roy Oswalt.

Not only hell yeah, but hell ****ing yeah! The Braves were really counting on the Rockies by sending Hampton to the hill, but somehow he came through. All praise be to Satan.

Insert obligatory "someone isn't too anxious to start that jail time" joke here.
