Transaction News Shows Waived Player Thats On A Different Team

The Transactions News for the Tigers shows:

Sunday 9/22/2001 :

Mike Mordecai was placed on waivers.
-----

When Mordecai is actually an active player on the Rangers.

All teams are AI managed.

I'm assuming that the current date is on/about 9/22/2001 ?

In other words, it's not possible that Mordecai was waived by the Tigers and claimed by the Rangers when you weren't looking, right?

No Mordecai was origionally drafted by the
Rangers and has always been on that team ---

This league has been upgraded since the
OOTP4 --- it takes me awhile to playout
a season

It struck me as odd when I saw it in the
Transaction News for the Tigers ---- Mordecai
has never left the Rangers --- the Tigers have picked up a
couple of other 3B players from the waiver wire (via AI)
as they were weak at 3B --- but I sure can't figure this one
out --- I'd be happy to provide any more info to anyone
wanting to figure this out.

Yes the 9/21 date is current --- well, actually 9/25/2001 now ---
I reported this as soon as it happened.
