Old Season Rosters?
I just got the game, and I thought I read that there were rosters available for just about every old season. Where can I find them? I'd like to start a career league in the early 80s, slowly adding fictional players each season.
Thanks. |

I am not sure why you would play a historical league but add fictional players every season since that defeats the whole purpose but you can download a great 1987 league file from the link in my sig.
Best of luck! |

The 1987 league is indeed very good. There is also a 1969 league and a 1976 league. Disclaimer: I compiled one of them and contributed to another one of them.
You can get any or all of them at www.ootpdownloadcenter.com under "rosters" or at www.baseballsimcentral.com under "Out of the Park baseball" and then "OOTP6" and then "Extras." You also might want to try a fictional league. Try the "Texas League," also available at both sites, a 16 team fictional league with alll the trimmings. Disclaimer: I compiled that one, too.

Alright...I downloaded the file and even read the entire out of date manual, but I'm not sure what to do next. How do I import the downloaded 1987 season? What I want to happen is to have a new league draft and then, after the first season, have an amateur draft of new fictional players. So, in a few seasons the aging real vets will be replaced by new fictional players.
Can I do that? |

Yes. To intall a league, unzip it to your OOTP6 directory with "subfolders on" or whatever your unzip program calls them. The main setup screen has a switch to start a fantasy draft, and for fictional rookies you just make that choice when the time comes.
