Game will not start up
I tried to get into the game this afternoon, but the hour glass just pops up and then goes away. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I have removed antivirus software. I have made sure no processes are running in the background that should not be. I have a sim to run tomorrow, and cannot figure out what's gonig on. Any ideas on what to do? I have Windows XP.

Help
One other thing I have tried is disabling Direct 3D but that didn't make a difference.

In XP: Control Panel>Admin Tools>Services. Make sure LicCtrl is enabled.
