And your 2004-05 NFL MVP is...

Daunte Culpepper.

Seriously, 5 TD's yesterday. He ran for at least 3 first downs. He didn't make mistakes. As bad as he was a couple years ago, making tons of mistakes and fumbling every other play, he is that good this year. He was superb last year, and appears primed for a great year this year. Right now, there is no other QB I would rather have in the NFL as my starter than Daunte Culpepper.

Take it to the bank, Daunte will be the NFL MVP.

Who is "Q"

Anyway, I'd definitely put Culpepper in the mix. He looked great, and the Vikings have a ton of weapons. I also think Tom Brady looked better than ever, and that is saying something. I've never been a huge Brady fan, but I remember thinking during that game, "Wow, right now I'd rather have Brady than Manning."

Right now it's C Mart, the Jets needed every one of his 196 Yards to get the W. I don't think he will be on top for long though.

BTW Culpepper is good untill he has his two or three drunken sailor games a year.

He's matured beyond that, IMO.

I remember Dante Culpepper when he had to eat at Fazoli's. Of course, apparently I did as well, since that's where I saw him along with a couple of his receivers one evening when he was a UCF student. I remember thinking then that any man who could eat that much pasta had a bright future in the NFL.

Why this isn't an event at the combine is beyond me.

The Cowboys' defense was actually supposed to be good this year. If they win games, it will be because of defense, not Vinny and Eddie.

It annoyed me on the sunday night poll when McNabb wasn't even an option for player of the week when he was quite likely better than Culpepper. 4 TD's and 330 yards, and if you saw the Eagles game... he looked mighty impressive. Now he finally has someone to throw to who won't have it bounce off their chest on every play, he could be dangerous.

Culpepper still had a better week. Dallas was the #1 defense last year. The Giants suck, bad.

He was very good last year as well. And I know the preseason doesn't mean a whole lot, but his QB rating was somewhere around 134.

I'll go out on a limb here...for some reason, going into the season I had alot of 'hope' and alot of interest in what the Vikes could do this year.

For the NFC I don't think anyone but Moss or Daunte will get it. I think that mvp trophy is just waiting to come to Minnesota.

For the AFC I'm really impressed in what the Broncos are doing, I'll go out on my limb here and grant Griffin the mvp.

Neither Moss or Culpepper will be MVP....Neither of them have the "heart" of a MVP.

Don't get me wrong both them have more raw talent at there respective positions then just about any other player....But when It comes to crunch time neither seems to bring there A game. Just watch Moss In a blowout(when there loseing) and you can see he don't give It all out there.(Remember that Vikes\Giants game In the playoffs a couple years back?)

It doesn't take 'heart' all the time to get MVP. There are quite a few players in different years and sports that I could name that would shoot that theory down.

Also, what's wrong with Daunte? What do you know about him and his heart? I don't know if fans who don't really know players can really challenge "heart".

Your right It don't take some one with "heart" to win a MVP as all It takes Is stats...But anyone who says stats alone Is what makes a MVP don't know this sport.

Neither of these two seem to have the will win that you see In some of the leagues other players...I would go out on a limb and say Moss Is more worried about himself looking good and getting stats then the vikes winning. Don't missunderstand me theres a lot of players out in this sport and others like him that do the same.

Culpepper has grown up a lot and matured since comeing into the league and could see him being a good QB for the rest of his career... But one game doesn't mean he's on his way to being MVP.
