Historical Sim Problem

I was simming my historical sim since 1901 and have not really had any problems. I am using the Era Calculator and when I got to the end of 1950 I tried to export the results but the game crashed. I tried again and it crashed again. I figured I would just keep the same settings for next year and I should just proceed to the next season. When I tried doing this it crashed again. I loaded it again and this time it was in the off-season of 1951 with none of the rookies imported. I decided the only way to solve this was to import all of the important rookies manually. After I did this I tried to start the season, but for some reason it was continuing to use the stats from 1950 (players would start off with 30 homers). I stopped simming about 10 games in and decided to backup the league file. After I did this, I reset the league, but then the players' statistics from 1950 were missing.

I have done nothing differently than any other season but for some reason my file seems to have corrupted. Is there any way that I can just keep on simming and keep all the usual stats?
