Unhappy Runtime Error?!?!? (!&$(&%#(*&%

haha, love that smiley...

I can't seem to consistently run a game, I always get runtime errors, and the game shuts down. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Also include the information about the RunTime Error codes as well. What number they are and what the information is that pops up with the RTE's.

Have much free HD space do you have? Have you deleted or moved any files? Have you updated your direct X and video drivers recently? Is game sound "enabled"? Has the game run ok before? Does this happen with all leagues?

60.7 GB free space

Possibly deleted files, although I don't THINK I'm that ******ed...is there any way I could get a list of necessary files and check them down with the ones I have? I know that'd be a lot of work so it's cool if not...

checking to see what version of direct X I'm running (although the game has always run without a hitch before yesterday, no problems, so unless DirectX updated around that time, I don't think that's it)

The sound is enabled.

Game ran fine before, and yes, it does happen with all my leagues, every one I try...

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the game, then move your leagues to the new location and try to run it.

Not as long as you reinstall it on the same computer. The elicense software will still be on there and it'll automatically recognize the game and make it a registered copy. So you're clear in that area.

Thanks guys, I did it, works like a dream. Only problem I have now is that my menus' backgrounds are all transparent and I can't remember how to fix it...I'm looking on here haven't found it yet, tho.

you need to disable 3d. look for the game config file in the OotP root folder.
