Waiver bug when player is pulled back
One of the teams in my fictional solo league claimed a backup 2nd baseman off waivers and placed one of their better prospects on waivers to clear a roster spot. He was claimed the following day and pulled back the day after that. So far so good. The problem is that the team didn't have to make an additional roster move to clear space on the 40 man roster. The player in question is now removed from the roster without clearing waivers.
I've attached partial screenshots showing the transaction history, the player's contract section from the hmtl player report and the 2B section of the 40 man roster. |

The originally claimed b/u 2nd baseman wasn't necessarly put on the 40 man roster. At least I don't think OOTP makes you do that.

The claimed player, Kenneth Depuy, was added to the active roster on the day he was claimed (the 25th) according to the transaction history; so, he had to be on the 40 man as well.

I had a similar situation come up again. A team claimed a 3B off waivers and waived their current backup to make room for him. It looks like the problem doesn't occur when the player is pulled back but when he's placed on waivers. The player the team waives is immediately taken off the 40 man roster when waived. I'm not sure if it's every time or just when they pick up someone off waivers.
I've attached the relevant sections of the league transactions report and the transaction screen for the team. The players in question are Philip Bury (claimed) and Joe Whatley (waived). |

Just had the same problem in my solo league. Is this a known issue?

In my case, this happened with the 6.03 patch installed.

I have had a related problem (see my "trade procedure" post). I had waivers enabled and traded for a player, only to discover that I had no way to get him from triple A on to my active roster - without going through waivers (and he was a first round draft choice).
