Unhappy OOTP 6.03 Crashing bringing up player info

I'm trying to start a new manager career in the first season and while I'm checking out players the game crashes. It doesn't matter where as it's happened in multiple places, in the roster, trade window, freee agent window. I'm running windows 98SE and IE 6.02 and I just updated my directX to the latest and I'm using Halofanupdate rosters if that matters. It's getting a little frustrating can anyone help?

Thanks,
Andy

No dice...I updated everything including my display drivers. I'm not sure if this helps but these are the details from crash. Should I be using the external browser under options or the ootp browser? Would that make a difference?

It is possible that using the other browser will correct the problem.

I get an error going to the player info, but only under the trade window. I'm looking for any help on it. If I find anything I'll post back here.

You might try running a system diagnostic (if you have the Norton suite) to see if you have a bad memory chip. You can try running other games to see if you get the same results. You can try updating your device drivers.

A good first step would be to try to determine if the problem is your hardware (most likely) or the game. I tend to think the problem is your hardware because, if it was the game, everyone would be reporting the problem.

A last option would be to take your system in for a service check and have it looked at professionally - but this would cost you money!

I figured it was my hardware because the comp is 4 years old but I thought I'd post and see if it was a common prob. I'm due for a new machine anyway. Thanks for the help guys.
