It's a little thing . . .
. . . especially considering how little impact pitch count (balls & strikes on the hitter) has on the game. Worth noting anyway, I hope.
I've got runners on 1st and 2nd, no outs. I call for a hit & run. The batter swings and misses. The lead runner steals 3rd, and the trailing runner advances to 2nd. I hit a key to continue, and the display up there next to the line score tells me the count on the hitter is 1-0. Has this been noted before? |

Thanks, Scott. Here's another bit of important information.
I called for the hit & run in the same situation in a game tonight. This time the lead runner was thrown out at 3rd, and when I got back to the decision screen, the count was registered correctly as 0-1. So it seems that whether the pitch is a ball or a strike depends on the fate of the runner, which is obviously weird. |
