Fan Interest in Sept is HOSED

My online league (FIBB) uses OOTP6.03. We sim 10 days at a time. Last night I simmed 9/11 through 9/20. My team is a distant second within my 5-team division, but I do have the 2nd best record in my league. So I've been leading the Wild Card chase just about all season. However, there are two others teams right in the thick of it with me. So what happens last night?

I start the sim with a Fan Interest of 85 and with my ticket prices $10. The same price my tickets have been all season. My Fan Interest has risen from 59 at the beginning of the season to the 85 it was on 9/11 because my team has played well and stayed a playoff contender (as it should). I actually started the 9/11 sim 1 game behind the WC leader and another team was 1 game behind me for the WC. I went 6-3 on the field from 9/11 to 9/20. I regained the WC lead by 1 game. My Fan Interest dropped from 85 to 76. I lose 9 Points on my Fan Interest for having a winning sim and regaining the lead in the WC chase. This is just WRONG.

Fan Interest in September drops like a rock for teams in the thick of WC races. It shouldn't. Please fix this.

This is a serious problem. Nine points in ten days?

Sounds like something is wrong here. I thought that was only supposed to happen to teams who were out of the race.

My guess is that OOTP doesn't consider the WC race like it does the division race?

Markus has said otherwise in the past, but this sounds strange to lose that much in such a short time.

Just bought that Mieville hardback myself. The first two were incredible.

My team was an extreme case made even more bizarre by the fact that I WON 3 promo games over the same 10 days I lost 9 points of FI. However, yes, other WC contenders not close to the division lead also experience large dumps in FI in September.
