Still experiencing 100% CPU usage

Windows 2000
Toshiba Laptop
1GHZ, 256MB RAM

Haven't played OOTP in quite a while, but I loaded it up today and noticed it was lagging. I checked CPU usage and it's at 100%. No other programs are running, and when I exit the game it goes back to normal uage.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Yes, that's why I'm surprised it's doing this. To the best of my recollection, I never never noticed it beofre with 4.0c.

Is this when the game is just sitting idle or when it is trying to do something?

Usually when it's doing something - I sim the entire season at one time and it's always at 100% then. Usually it goes back down when it's idle, but will occasionaly hang around 100% for a minute or so when doing nothing.

I think that the 100% CPU problem was when it was sitting idle, not when it is working and processing. There are several text games that have high % when working.

I just simmed 1 day and it went to 99%, now that it is idle it is running at about 20-27%.

I just didn't remember it reaching 100% even during simming I guess.
