1901-1950 logos

Where can I get them besides LogoServer?

LogoServer's are great but I have no clue how to get rid of true black...nor the software to do it.

My computer and OOTP crashed during a power outage so I lost all my logos

Can anyone help?

Thank You in advance

I have these already converted. I've downloaded all the logos from 1901 to about 2003 that I could find and changed the size to 150*150 and I removed all the true black from the bitmap so its about 150 logos all together. It weighs in at about 3 megs so I would probably have to find a host for it since I doubt I could send a file that size thru my ISP.

AngelinOF I can host the file. Email it to me at JoeRockEHF@comcast.net and if the file is too large then email it at JoeRockEHF@ootpdownloadcenter.com. I'll get it up as soon as possible.

I sent you a PM also AngelinOF.

I send the file to this address, no error message was flagged during the sending process so it appears to have gone through.

I included some attachments of what the logos look like, nothing spectacular since their pretty much what is found on the various logo sites.

As an alternative, you might try my set (at either of the two above locations). Though it includes every home and road uniform, there are also included each team logo (something used separately from the uniform) and, what might be more useful for you, the logo sewn on the cap. All of the various changes are there from 1901 to 2004. So maybe at least some of the 80 you had would be in there if not in AngelinOF's set.

If still no luck, try to describe the ones you are missing; I might have one or two squirreled away but not included in the set since it wasn't technically a team logo or sewn on a cap.

Attached are samples of those cap logos....

JDEW,

Ahhh, so you did do the cap logos...if you recall, I said your uniform logos would be great as caps. I just didn't like the player with the uniform logo...don't know why, but they were very well done. I didn't know you added other logos with the uniforms...I will download them ASAP!

As an aside...does anyone have Federal league logos?

and thanks JOE...

Your site is great!

Carlton,

Yes, you did

In the latest file all the close-ups of the cap logos as well as the team logo are included separately from the uniforms.

I'm still working on the new view of getting the cap logo on a cap (the early ones are giving me fits and what to do with the ones that have no logo on the cap????).

Check them out and see if they fill the bill for you. If not, try to describe what you're missing; I might have them squirreled away someplace.

no, they are great JDEW

I took the uniforms and put them in the uniform folder (which was empty) and basically renamed the cap and/or team logo by year in the team folder (folders for each team nice touch)

Then I arrange by name after changing them to BMP...so Ihave them in order by year...

i.e. for the A's

A's 1901
A's 1924 i
A's 1929
A's 1937

etc

Gives me a little variety in regards to CatoBase and looking back 80 years from now

As for when they had no logo on the cap...I say go with what they had on the uniform

Good example is the Cubbies.
During Mordecai Brown's time 1903-1911...the Cubs used the bear with the bat inside the C for their unis...
1901 the Orioles didn't have an O on their cap...but a simple orange O fits the bill (no pun intended)

In reality the early 20th century is the no insignia on cap years, but they all had a script or block letter over their heart on their unis...so that would do it

And thanks for the old Phillies 1915-1930 "P"...one I have looked for forever but couldn't get right trying to cut it off Grover Alexander's hat

one thing I wish Joe would do on his download site is have a description...or else I could have found these quickly since I go to Joe's 1st whenever I need a MOD

I'll see what I can do with descriptions Carllton. I did have some for awhile as each file had its own individual page for Info, Description, etc. With as many files as I had it was starting to take plenty of room, lol. I'll see what I can do with my current style.

One or two sentences would suffice Joe.

That way, even if the two pics are the main part of the download...there may be something else in there.

I know you have alot of stuff on your server, so a seperate page, would be overkill.

a short blog under the file name on the html page would do the trick
