This league is a league for only those that enjoy the fact the everything in this game is basically random.

The World Retro Baseball League is ending it first season and I have at least one opening possibly a couple more depending on the activity email response from the league.

Why join this one over the hordes of other leagues out there. This league was built on the random player entrance theory with this twist. Most random entrance league have everybody all moved around. In the WRBL we will bring in Entire Draft Class instead of just a bunch of players from every year in baseball.

Other interesting things with this league are: Stadium changes during off seasons. Every team started with the same stadium and will customize it to their needs.

Lottery Draft system too... Some think .. nah this is to much... But I can say that the system I am using I think is very fair. The worst team has a 1 in 2 chance of getting the 1st pick and thier odds increase with every pick they move down. Or picture 12 million lottery balls and the worst team has 6 million of them. Second worst has 3 million and so on. With every team removed from the list all of there balls are removed. So with each selection if your team is not picked your chances of getting the next available spot is over 50% and continues to go up until you are slotted.

And yes the best team has a chance ... 1 in 12 Million odds. It also make tied records a snap. I am just adding together the balls and divide by the number of tied teams.

Good premise, great league, some of the best owners. Get in on the bottom floor as we just finished the first regular season. Most teams have very little talent and will be molded by this and subsequant draft (initial teams were automatically generated career minor leaguers and then a draft of one year rookies - 1996 I believe). So all the teams have 2 good players two or three marginal ones and the rest are enjoying the Show. Scott does a good job keeping the league moving!
