It realculates projected league totals for the season. It uses past stats to try and equal out the stats to accurately represent your baseball era. For example, if you hit more home runs then the era says you should then recalculate will lower home run totals. If your going to use it then make sure to use it just about every season for best results.

The search option is now working on the forum. I'd suggest doing a search for "recalculate" and you'll find a number of posts explaining this.

And by the way Mr. Bledsoe, we're glad to have you as a Buffalo Bill. Let's beat those Pats!

I think I've posted this at least 12 times, but here goes again.
The recalculate button does not adjust for anything. All it does it give you totals for the previous season you've completed. The reason this is useful is because you need those totals if you're going to try and maintain fairly consistent stats in your league regardless of ratings fluctuations. If after a season in which the league lead in homeruns is, say, 70, you hit recalculate and go on to the next year, you will end up having a season where the league lead is somewhere in the 20's or 30's. Then if you hit recalculate again the next season the totals will be back up where you started. Hitting recalculate each year just causes the stats in your league to fluctuate between hitting and pitching each year. Jason

Bills made some nice moves this offseason thanks mainly to Rob Johnson's generousity in refusing to take a pay cut and leaving town. Good riddance.
