Pioneers of the Diamond, a 28-team fictional league in the midst of its 6th season, currently has an opening in that of the Mexico City Diablos, who are a team in need of a dedicated owner willing to take on the challenge of rebuilding this forgotten franchise. What was once one of the league's proud franchises, the Diablos have sunk to the bottom of the pack and are looking to restore the glory of seasons past. The team itself has a handful of solid players plus a decent enough farm so it's not entirely dry, but as mentioned, would require patience of a dedicated owner to move back to the top of its division. This is a phenomenal team for owners seeking a challenge in rebuilding their squads.

POTD maintains a $90 million salary cap, $25 million cash cap and the rule 5 draft. Ratings and talents are turned on at the 1-100 level with coaches/scouts disabled.

The Underground League of Baseball, a 28-team real player league currently in the offseason of its 5th season, also has a pair of openings itself, these of teams with greatly contrasting stories. The Yankees boast one of the league's most dominating teams, which includes two playoff appearances in the last four seasons and an AL East crown just last season. With proper management the team should contend for the postseason again and could very well land a first season owner prominence in ULB history.

ULB's other opening is a team in the same division as the Yankees, but one that has struggled during the four season league. The Blue Jays, like the Diablos in POTD, seek a patient but dedicated owner willing to rebuild the franchise and add to the competitive nature of the league. Also like the Diablos in POTD, Toronto is a phenomenal team for owners who enjoy the challenge of rebuilding.
