What's wrong with this guy?

ratings scale is 1-10 and the league convered from ootp5 before 2007. he has not really changed as a player, has had these ratings for a long time.

anyone know why he consistently underperforms? he strikes out a ton, but it shouldn't have that big an impact.

One of the cool things about OOTP is that just because a player has "good" ratings does not mean he will perform well. You should always look at a player's stats if possible and if he has a history of playing bad then he will probably continue to play bad. This is a new feature of OOTP in my opinion.

I call that a Jeter start.

Send him to AAA for a Week or Two so he get something to hit.

Sometimes that helps.

I've never seen someone be a 2.5 star player with ratings like that. There must be some talented guys at that position.

Trade him and then he'll perform how you always thought he should.
