Okay, I used DAVWMs origin generator for the initial player draft in my Australian based league, and it worked fine.
But now I'm at the first ammy draft, and I have no idea how to get the incoming rookies to be primarily from Australia. How do I get the rookies into a CSV file by themself that is compatible with the generator? Do I have to click "yes" when asked if I want to import real life rookies and then use the editor on the file that clicking yes generates? If so, what part of the Lahman database do I point the game to? Is there a different, smaller database I can use instead of Lahman? Should I just make my own CSV file based on what OOTP creates and then point to that when I use "real rookies" for the draft? Or do I have to manually edit all 100 rookies? I tried backing the league up, exporting the player general files to CSV and running Davwms origina generator (even though I suspected this would redo all the initial players names and origins) but I got a run time error. Any help appreciated. |

Check out this post:
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...8&page=4&pp=20 The program will not modify the same player twice.. it actually looks first for the origin, and if it is one of the origins that OOTP generates automatically, it will create a new name and origin. If that player does not have an origin that is the same as the OOTP generated origins, it will not change that player at all. I know.. I know.. I need to create an instructions/read me file.. I'm just too darn busy right now.. sorry.. :-)
