New Draftees have messed up stats
Hey, when I run my 1st year player draft, I get a major problem. The stats for all of the players are really messed up. There will be a 5-start guy with a batting average of .230 in college and stuff like that. Then pitchers are even worse. There was a 5-star pitcher with a 22.63 ERA in HS and he somehow allowed 26,375 hits in 76 innings. Every single player has some sort of messed up statistics. This is a fictional league just to let you know. Any ideas on what is wrong?

Sounds like he doesn't have good pitchability.
I think the standard answer to "totally out-of-whack statistics" questions is that your league file may have been corrupted. How do your league's stats look? |

This is the first time I've heard anything like this, is the file OK otherwise?

You know, all the stats for the league and everything are perfect. These players get drafted and play like their ratings/stars say they should. They get correct stats and everything. The drafting screen also shows the "Competition Level" on the right hand side, sorta behind the drafting order when it should be on the player description on the left-hand side. I'm starting to remember back and I think I change the name of one college in the system file that randomly creates those schools. Maybe that is the problem. I'll let you guys know if that is what is wrong.

Sounds like that is the issue as I don't believe that this particular file is one that can be altered like some others can(names files, etc).

That would make sense then if it can't be modified...guess I'll just have to re-copy that file on my system. Thanks Steve.

I find the college/HS stats to be so much eye candy and don't pay much attention to them. I go by ratings and potential.

I got a starter whos 8-0 with an era of .79 in AA, but also an era of 7 something in AAA! Time is about 50-50, so I guess he stays in AA at this point. That seems a little strange.
