A little help with Leagues and setup.
Hi Folks, I am new around here. I've played OOTP 4 and thought I'd give #6 a shot.
I never got to technical or fancy with the game in the previous incarnation. However I was having trouble finding the answers to a couple questions here on the boards. 1st Can The league settings be altered after you start them up? For example, If I create a league and set it up using the Deadball Era. Can I change it 10 seasons later to the Modern Era if I wanted to? 2nd Can I add teams to the league year after year if I wanted to? 3rd does the Edit Player option work only on free agents or can we edit rookies for the draft also? lastly, assuming I can do all of the above, will my career stats etc etc still remain intact? so I start in 1901 and then expand etc etc in the year 1950 my career leaders etc will reflect all stuff that has gone on before? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks |

1 - Yes. Alter at will!
2 - Yes, and divisions as well, up to 4. But you can't add leagues! (i.e. if you start with 1 league, you can only ever have 1 league) 3 - As long as you are not playing in MM, you can edit any player by clicking on them, then clicking EDITOR 'ON' in the top right hand corner. As for your last point, once you start your universe, the game retains the stats you create, even if you add new teams etc. You can add stuff and it will create new team record pages for them etc. so it won't harm your statistical integrity! |

As more of a general comment, has this been other people's experience? I don't really change the ratings, but I played around with this during times when putting together historical league totals has been on the board here. |
