THE 1987 League File now available in 2 places!
My OOTP6 1987 League File is now also available at JoeRock's Download center in addition to Halofan's download site.
Links: JoeRock Download Center: http://www.ootpdownloadcenter.com/do...7%20League.zip Halofan's Download Center: http://www.simleaguecentral.com/modu...q=getit&lid=45 The file is about 941K. One note is that the League Totals settings are a bit offensive so you might want to tone them down if you want a more realistic results. I used the totals provided by Henry in another post before I realized that those totals do not work very well. However, if you are looking for 2004 style baseball production then leave the totals alone and enjoy the show! If you want League Totals to recreate 80s style baseball then I suggest the following: ABS- 144,100 Hits- 38,250 2b- 7,250 3b- 750 Hr- 5,500 BB- 14,750 HBP- 1,000 Ks- 25,250 BIPAvg- .289 Doc |

the file is nice, player wise that is, BUT, no logos included, players salaries WAY off, makes this almost as much work as importing 1987 myself.
Looking at the Yankees, Rick Rhoden is makeing 9,990,000?? His real 1987 salary was only 600,000. Its understood how much you have put into it already, but adjusting those salaries would really make this a kick ass file. |

Logos are left out to make the download smaller & faster plus most people already have a logo set they like to use.
The player salaries are much higher than in "real life" because they have to be. If you played OOTP6 with 1987 salaries you would be able to resign EVERYONE and there would be zero challenge to the game. OOTP's financial system is not very good for older historical career leagues so you have to adjust forward and have the players making more money. I wish I could enter the actual salaries (I do have all that info) but doing so would make this a worthless file. Hopefully OOTP will upgrade the financial system but until then I would suggest keeping the salaries high and take the challenge head on. Plus there are some nice value players in there...you just have to look for them! ;-) Doc |
