New Mail for ! Stop Sim?

I'm attempting to sim a bunch of seasons in a solo historical league, with all teams set to computer control. Every so often, the season sim halts with the dialogue box "There is new mail for ! Stop Sim? Yes/No"

All teams ARE computer controlled. No team is named " ", obviously. Is this bug known?

Running:
AMD Athlon 2.1 GHz
512 MB RAM
60 GB HD, 35 GB free

Did you alter the league in any way? Delete or add teams?

I changed team names and cities, in accordance with actual history... I mean, I wanted the Milwaukee Brewers to become the St. Louis Browns in 1902, as actually happened.

Is that what's causing the problem? Is there a workaround for it? Or am I stuck with a team in Milwaukee the whole time if I want to start a historical league in 1901 at the start of the American League?

Something odd caused this. I wouldn't say it was just changing names becasue that's been done before with no problems. I can only think to review the game/team setups very carefully to see if you can find something odd. Never seen this one before.

Unfortunately, I got nothin. No teams are set to human control, and nobody has a blank space instead of a city, team name or abbreviation. The league setup appears normal and un-farked.

I dunno. I'm thinking of redoing the same setup. If I do, I'll get to see whether I can replicate the problem.

I got the same thing and hadn't made any changes. To stop it with all under computer control, simply turn off the email notification on the sim options. That will put an end to it.

This seems very similar to what what metsgeek was reporting in another thread. And both were doing historical replays. Could it be something in that respect?
