Sim Options problem/bug?

I have everyone of my sim options set to "yes", but I've only been allowed to jump into one game of significance. Griffey was on 499 hrs and the game let me watch the pbp of his AB. He didn't hit his 500th that game, but two days later he did and there was no option for me to jump into his next game or any other game(s) when he was at 499. The same goes for pitchers have a no-hitter through 8 innings, a player who has 5 hits, etc.

This has gone on for quite some time, but I thought I would see if there's something I'm missing here?

Ted Lilly throws a no-hitter for Toronto and there's no stop in the sim to let me watch it. What's going on?
