Phantom Injuries

Phantom injuries are still around in v6. This is when a player shows up as injured, but no record of it is recorded anywhere else in the game, like league injury and team injury reports or the player history. It used to be a rare occurence in v6, but in last night's WLB sim (2nd under v6) it happened to 3 players, one of them a former MVP! Luckily, an astute GM caught it. For the love of DIPS!

I'll mention it but fairly certain it is just a tough one to find.

Yes, you have to be very on top of it. Basically, I compared the team screen to the injury report. If a player show's up on the team screen, but not the injury report it happen. Catching it occur in code will likely be very tough.

Yeah, but this is almost a showstopper for me. I may have to rethink my plan to convert my online league over. We had three guys injured here - none of them showed up on any injury reports. In fact I think 2 of them played the entire sim, none of them got pulled out of any games either - even though one of them was listed as out for the year.

One even had a talent drop?????

As hard as it maybe to find, I think this should be a fairly high priority.

Are you using the default injury file or has it been modified in any way?

Here a bitmap, the first oval show that he's tired, but out for the whole season. Talk about chronic fatigue! The html team report show him as having a broken knee, but there is nothing in the html team injury report. The second oval show that there is no record on his player history of getting injured and being out for the whole season. In fact, he hasn't done much since 2007! (We are currently in 2012).
